The new Outer Banks Commercial Resort Model umbrella is just half the weight of most commercial style beach umbrellas. It's the first beach umbrella made for use by a vacationing family, but designed and built to endure the rigorous use of a resort or beach rental umbrella. Our commercial beach umbrella is the same size and has the same functionality as the standard model umbrellas. They're just a little tougher. Made to take a beating from everyday commercial usage, these umbrellas include a stronger, more robust hub design and slightly thicker commercial grade aluminum poles. The canopy includes flat felled sewn seams to make it more durable. It also has the new blunt tip bottom pole. This is the strongest beach umbrella frame structure that we've ever offered.
The commercial grade beach umbrella also features component frame ribs. So if your frame ever breaks, you can replace just the one broken rib instead of having to replace the entire frame.

The beachBUB® ULTRA Beach Umbrella Base Meets ASTM Safety Standards
Each beachBUB® All-In-One Beach Umbrella System comes with the beachBUB ULTRA Base, fully compliant with the ASTM F3681-24 safety standard for beach umbrellas.
According to Consumer Product Safety Commission engineers, a 7.5-foot outdoor umbrella requires at least 75 lbs of resistance at the base to ensure stability in winds up to 30 mph.
When filled correctly, the beachBUB® ULTRA Base surpasses this requirement by 160%. As more public beaches adopt this standard, beachgoers will need ASTM F3681.24 compliant anchors to avoid restrictions on umbrella use.

Adjustable Canopy Tension System
Our latest beachBUB® model features an innovative canopy tension adjustment system. With reinforced rib pockets and T-shaped brackets inside each one, our umbrella is built to last. The system also allows for easy tension adjustments by inserting or removing small plastic spacer plugs. If your canopy is too tight, remove plugs to loosen it. If it’s too loose, simply add more plugs to achieve the perfect tension. Extra plugs are included in each carry bag pocket for convenience.
Setup Instructions
- For dry, loose sand, start by sweeping away the top layer to create a firm, level surface for your umbrella base. Spread the beachBUB® flat on the ground, then insert the Sand Gopher Tool through the hole in the center of the base.
- Twist the Sand Gopher Tool a quarter turn as you push it into the sand. Pull it out, removing a plug of sand. Shake the sand from the tool and repeat until you’ve dug an 11-inch hole.
- Insert the bottom pole through the beachBUB® to the orange mark. Connect two wings to form a pouch and fill halfway with sand. Attach the third wing to form the base, then fill it completely with sand.
- Place your umbrella into the base, sit back, and enjoy a peaceful, carefree day at your favorite oceanside spot, beach club, or resort.
