Register your umbrella and upload a photo of your properly filled base to qualify for warranty coverage.

Why we ask for a photo

A fully filled base is critical for safety and to prevent frame damage. Your photo helps us confirm proper setup so we can honor warranty claims quickly and fairly.

Use this visual guide. All three sides of the pyramid shaped base should be firm and taut. You should be able to bounce a quarter off the sides of the base.

What’s required for warranty validation

  • Upload one clear photo of your beachBUB base properly filled with sand.
  • Provide the serial number(s) for each umbrella you own.
  • If you did not purchase on our website, include the retailer name and your order number.

Scope & exclusions

  • Required only for beach umbrellas.
  • Not required for accessory items.
  • Not required for beachBUB ULTRA Bases used with another brand of umbrella.

Where to upload & what to enter

  1. Go to your Account page.
  2. In the beachBUB Umbrella Warranty Registration section, click on the Edit icon (it looks like a little pencil).
  3. Upload a photo of your properly filled base.
  4. Enter the serial number(s) for each umbrella.

Tip: Take the photo in good light and make sure the entire base is visible.

beachBUB® ULTRA Base Complies with the ASTM F3681-24 Beach Umbrella Safety Standard

The beachBUB ULTRA Beach Umbrella Base is fully compliant with the ASTM F3681-24 Beach Umbrella Safety Standard. Here's a tutorial video that provides a step-by-step demonstration of the proper way to set up your beach umbrella base.

A few important tips to remember...

  • Use your hand or foot to clear away the top few inches of dry fluffy sand and prepare a flat spot for your beachBUB® Base.
  • Use the Sand Gopher to create the hole in the sand for your umbrella pole to insert into.
  • ALWAYS FILL YOUR BASE COMPLETELY FULL USING YOUR FOOT TO PACK THE SAND DOWN INTO THE BASE AS YOU GO.

After filling, your base should be firm and taut and you should be able to bounce a coin off the sides of the base.

In order for the base to be compliant with the Safety Standard it must contain at least 75 lbs of sand. When properly filled, the beachBUB ULTRA Beach Umbrella Base is designed to hold a total of 125 lbs of sand.
