There are many types of sand anchors available to help secure your beach umbrella. However, not all sand anchors offer the same level of safety, stability, or ease of use, which can make a big difference during windy conditions.
That’s where beachBUB® shines. The beachBUB® ULTRA umbrella base is a top choice for beachgoers thanks to its easy setup, durability, and proven performance. Not only is it designed to keep your umbrella secure, but it also meets and exceeds the ASTM F3681-24 standard for safety. This ensures that your beach umbrella with sand anchor stays firmly in place, even in challenging weather conditions, reducing the risk of accidents.
Here’s how to properly set up the beachBUB® ULTRA base for a stress-free beach day.
How to Set Up the beachBUB® ULTRA Base
- Prepare the beach surface. Before you set up your umbrella, ensure the sand surface is firm and flat, with a bit of moisture to provide additional stability. A properly prepared surface is key to keeping the beach umbrella anchor secure.
- Place the base. Lay the beachBUB® ULTRA base flat on the prepared sand. Make sure the base is positioned exactly where you want to set up your umbrella.
- Make a hole. Insert the Sand Gopher tool through the hole in the base and grind it into the sand to create an opening. After removing the tool, discard the sand plug. Repeat this process until the hole is about 11 inches deep.
- Insert the bottom pole. Confirm your bottom pole has the Universal Clamshell Anchor Collar attached. Insert the bottom pole into the hole. Ensure that the pole is straight and securely placed.
- Fill the base completely. To stabilize the umbrella, connect two wings of the base to the Universal Clamshell Anchor Collar to form a pouch. Begin filling the base with sand, making sure to pack it in firmly. Once those two wings are filled, connect the third wing and continue filling the entire base with sand. The sides of the base should be firm and taut when properly packed, providing the necessary stability for your anchored beach umbrella.
